The aim is to issue a qualification to specialized architects signed by the Minister of Culture and Arts:

• The request is addressed to the director of culture of the wilaya of his residence.
• The directors of culture of the wilaya transmit the application files, within one week of their receipt, to the secretariat of the sectoral committee provided by the Directorate of Heritage, to the Ministry of Culture

Conditions of award :

• Hold a state architect degree or equivalent
• Hold a post-graduate degree in the field of preservation and enhancement of monuments and sites
• Professional references in the field of preservation and enhancement of sites and monuments

Institution or department concerned :

• Directorate of Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage.
• Sub-Directorate for Conservation and Restoration of Immovable Cultural Property.

Documents requested :

• Copy of the diploma of state architect or equivalent diploma
• Copy of the post-graduate diploma in the field of preservation and enhancement of monuments and sites
• Request for Qualifications Form
• Curriculum vitae
• Professional references
• Copy of the national biometric card. 

Processing times :

The Sectoral Committee meets in two ordinary sessions each year 

When and how is delivered :

The certificate shall be issued at the close of each session

Period of validity of the document issued :

Indeterminate time limits, in the case of serious misconduct the Minister may proceed by decision to withdraw the architect's certificate of qualification after consulting the sectoral committee

Legal anchoring :

Order of 4 Rabie El Aouel 1426 corresponding to 13 April 2005 setting the composition and functioning of the sectoral committee of qualification of the architect specialized in monuments and protected sites.
