Any Algerian, residing inside the country or abroad, can apply for and obtain his certificate of Algerian nationality instantly, via the website of the Ministry of Justice, provided that they do the following once:

1. Approach in person, at the counter of the nearest court (court or tribunal), provided with:

• an official identity document,
• their personal mobile phone number,

• civil status documents or documents required to obtain a certificate of Algerian nationality.

2. Retrieve from the clerk a paper document, containing the following information:

• surname and first name of the person concerned,
• the account (username and password) assigned to it.

3. Receive on your mobile phone, within forty-eight (48) hours, an SMS, including a new confidential username and password.

4. Upon receipt of the new username and password, the person concerned will be able to access the service for applying for and receiving the certificate of Algerian nationality via the Internet, on the website of the Ministry of Justice and follow the following steps :

• log in to the portal: Ministry of justice
• enter the username and password sent via SMS.
• click on the “Enter” button to display several links.
• click among these links on the one entitled application and receipt of the certificate of Algerian nationality. By clicking on the link, a “second and last window” will be displayed, in which it is required to:
• enter the username and password saved in the paper document issued by the clerk.
• click on the “Download” button.
• At this moment, his certificate of Algerian nationality appears directly on the computer screen, in electronically signed "PDF" form, containing a barcode, and which can be saved and printed.

• save and print the certificate of nationality .
