The request for rectification of an error contained in a civil status certificate depending on the case (birth, marriage or death certificate) is attached to the necessary documents, and can be made directly at the level of any court in the national territory.

In order to benefit from this online service, it is necessary to do the following once:

1. Get closer in person, at the counter of the nearest court (court or tribunal) provided:

  • His official identity document,
  • His birth certificate N° 12,
  • Personal mobile phone number.

2. Retrieve from the registrar a paper document containing the following information:

  • Personal surname and first name,
  • Personal username and password.

He will receive on his mobile phone, within forty-eight (48) hours, an SMS containing two other new and confidential personal username and password.

Once he has received the new username and password on his mobile phone, he will be able to access the service for the electronic correction of errors contained in civil registers, on the website of the Ministry of Justice.
